Why it matters

Fashion shoppers don't buy an item — they buy a look. A coat on a white background doesn't answer the real question: "what do I wear it with, and how will it look?" A lookbook does: the piece is shown with trousers, shoes and a bag, in the mood of the collection.

Lookbooks usually live somewhere else — on social media, in a PDF or on a campaign page — disconnected from the catalog. In Fashion CMS, looks are built right into the product page: shoppers see them exactly where they make the decision and can jump to any item in one tap.

How it drives sales

  • More items in the cart. A look shows a ready-made combination — it's easier to take the coat with the trousers and bag than to put an outfit together from scratch.
  • Confidence in the choice. An item in context is easier to read: you see the length, the volume and how it works with the rest of a wardrobe.
  • Content that sells. Collection shoots that used to live only on social media now lead straight to checkout.
  • A familiar mobile format. Looks in story format swipe just like in messengers and social apps — no learning curve, no extra buttons.

How it works

  1. In the CMS, a manager creates a lookbook — say, "SS26" — and adds looks to it: photos, vertical videos or stories.
  2. Hotspots are placed on each look photo, and every hotspot is linked to a product in your catalog.
  3. If an item isn't sold by you — for example, a partner brand's shoes in a collab — the hotspot can link to an external URL instead.
  4. The look automatically appears on the product page of every item in it, in the "Looks with this piece" block.
  5. The shopper opens a look, taps a hotspot and sees the item with its price — one tap takes them to your catalog or the external site.

Formats

Format Best for
Photo with hotspots Product page, collection page
Stories Mobile product page, homepage
Look carousel The "Looks with this piece" block
Lookbook page A standalone collection page built in the page builder

For your brand

A lookbook is the showcase of your style. Build a look once and it works everywhere: on every product page, on the collection page, in stories on the homepage. And if you want shoppers to buy the whole outfit with one button, add "Shop the look" sets — with size selection for every piece.

External links open the door to collaborations: feature a partner's item in your look and send shoppers to them, without adding someone else's product to your catalog.
