Catalog filters

Size, color, price, stock and sale — shoppers narrow hundreds of items down to a perfect few in a couple of clicks.

Why it matters

Fashion shoppers almost never look for "something." They look for a black dress in their size under a certain price. When the catalog shows everything at once, people scroll, hit sold-out sizes, get tired and leave. Filters turn a one-size-fits-all storefront into a personal edit in seconds.

How it drives sales

  • Fewer dead-end clicks. Size and stock filters hide items the shopper can't buy anyway — so "love it, but not in my size" happens far less often.
  • Higher catalog conversion. The faster people see items that fit, the more likely they are to open a product page and add to cart.
  • Built for mobile. Scrolling through hundreds of items on a phone is exhausting — a compact filter panel saves time and patience.
  • Fuels your sales. The "On sale" filter takes bargain hunters straight to discounted items.

How it works

  1. In the CMS, products carry their attributes: variant sizes and colors, fabric, fit, season, collection.
  2. The filter panel builds itself automatically from those attributes — no manual lists to maintain.
  3. The shopper picks values, the catalog updates instantly, and a counter shows how many items are left.
  4. Active filters appear as chips above the grid, each removable in one click.
  5. Filter state is saved in the page URL, so shoppers can share a selection or come back to it later.

What you can filter by

Attribute Example
Size XS–XL, local and international size charts
Color Color swatches instead of text labels
Price Slider with minimum and maximum price
Availability Only items in stock
Sale Only items with a reduced price
Custom attributes Fabric, fit, length, season, collection

For your team

New attributes take a couple of clicks to add in the CMS and show up in the filters right away. You can set the order of filter groups, hide unnecessary values and choose which filters appear first on mobile.
